If I had somebody program this part for a Wire EDM as shown I would show them the proper way to program. If they did it like shown again, I would let them go. I assume this demo is just that and does not show how to properly program a Wire EDM for real world applications. I have over 30 years experience programming, setting up and operating wire edm machines.

Hi friend! You are wrong ;) You can build the part to cut by selecting one or two contours. The contours can be either 2D or 3D. Alternatively, you can also use surfaces to build your part. I hope this helps! More info in @ metalcam.com
